Chimay Rouge

The first brewer of the famous Trappist Abbey of Scourmont, Chimay Rouge is a Belgian dubbel with great balance and tradition. It has a deep amber color with copper highlights and a creamy ivory head. On the nose, it releases rich aromas of caramel, dried fruit, plums, and light spicy yeast notes. On the palate, it is smooth and enveloping, with a medium-full body, elegant malty sweetness, fruity nuances, and a dry, lingering finish that invites another sip. A warm and convivial beer, a symbol of the Belgian monastic tradition.
