Considered one of Bavaria's oldest and most authentic dunkels, it is brewed in the Weltenburg Monastery on the banks of the Danube. It has a deep brown color with ruby highlights and a dense, hazelnut-colored head. On the nose, aromas of toasted malt, black bread, caramel, and subtle cocoa notes emerge. On the palate, it is smooth and velvety, with a medium body, enveloping malty sweetness, and a dry, lightly toasted finish that makes it elegant and very balanced. A beer that embodies centuries of monastic tradition.
