Il UHT milk can be stored up to 90 days without risk of deterioration, thanks to a special heat treatment that guarantees its long life.
This technique, called Ultra High Temperature (UHT), consists in bringing the milk to very high temperatures for a few seconds, eliminating the microorganisms responsible for rapid deterioration.
However, if on the one hand this process ensures a longer shelf life and a notable ease of use, on the other hand it entails a consequence: UHT milk it does not maintain the same nutritional properties as fresh milk, as some vitamins and heat-sensitive components are partially degraded.
In summary, UHT milk is a practical and safe solution for long-term storage, but with a slightly lower nutritional value compared to fresh milk.
